PS- my favorite summer memory is hanging by the pool feeling like I’m on a deserted tropical escape with no baseboards to clean, dog hair to vacuum, or laundry piling up! My favorite summer getaway is heading w/friends to my neighborhood “quiet pool” every weekend, and my favorite summer treat is frozen lemonade!

My favorite summer memory is spending the summer of 1985 in Portugal as an AFS student. What a beautuful country with amazing people!!

My favorite summer treat is Bomb Pops!! My 4 kids think it is funny that I like them as much as they do!!

  2. Heather Says:

My favorite summer getaway happens to be Tybee Island and Savannah (where most of the novel takes place)! My family went there every summer while I was growing up and I have such fond memories…

  3. Heather Says:

My favorite summer memory AND get away is when I go to Nags Head with my family every July for a week! Growing up we went for 2 weeks but in recent years we have scaled it back to 1. It is always so relaxing and the best time to just spend with family.

My favorite summer treat are snowcones on the beach made by my mom with her snowcone maker 🙂

    • Nely Says:

My fave summer memories always take place somewhere on the beach. We live in Miami so the moment May-June comes around we head out with the beach bags, food, radios and all sorts of fun beach stuff and spend at least one day of our weekend there. Then there are the countless weekends we just load into our car and drive four hours to Disney World. We ❤ Summer!

My favorite Summer was two years ago my husband and I went to Nashville, TN for the very first time. This was our first vacation together as a married couple so we indulged ! The country music hall of fame, the wax museum and of course the Grand Ole Opry…such an amazing place and wonderful people. Definitely a summer to remember !

  5. My favorite summer memory is the week-long vacations the whole family used to take to Wildwood, NJ.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  6. Nancy Hampel Says:

Drove past a Mimosa tree in bloom yesterday. It reminded my of being a kid…In the summer, my best friend and I would sit up in the Mimosa tree and pretend we were on a desert island. Innocent time, great friend and I could climb trees!

  7. Sarrina Says:

My favorite summer memory is going to Prince Edward Island, Canada with my good friend Becky. We went for the 100th year anniversary of Anne of Green Gables and enjoyed the scenic beauty of Canada, visiting the fictional town of Avonlea, watching a parade, and seeing many a Anne of Green Gables musical! AND best of all, Canada is known for its delicious Cows ice cream…a favorite summer dessert!

  8. My favorite summer memories was when my family and I took a trip to Victoria Island Canada. It was so beautiful there and the people were really nice. The beaches were awesome and i didn’t want to leave! I had the best summer there!

  9. Rebecca Says:

My favorite summer memory is going to Australia last year with my dad, my brother, and my sister-in-law. One of the first nights we stayed in Kakadu National Park we saw a family of wallabees hopping through the hotel grounds (the hotel was set up garden style). Those little guys were so cute! They were a bit skittish of humans but I was still able to get a bunch of pictures.

  10. Laura Says:

My favorite summer getaway is probably the Outer Banks. My entire family goes there just about every summer and it is SO wonderful. We relax, eat lots of seafood, play miniature golf, and stay up late and play games. Couldn’t ask for better family quality time!

Yep, definitely my favorite summer memories… but let’s be clear… my favorite vacation was my trip to Hawaii… but I don’t think of that as my summer “getaway.”
